Atlantic Testing Laboratories is proud to announce that its Rochester office will take part in what is sure to be a substantial project for Western NY. On June 20, 2014, The New York State Department of Transportation announced the design build team that was selected. ATL is looking forward to working with such esteemed team members as: Pike Construction, LaBella Associates of Rochester, Kisan Engineering, P.C., of Williamsville, Moffat & Nichol Engineering, P.C. of Long Beach, California, Foundation Design of Rochester, Joy Kuebler Landscape Architect of Buffalo.

The $29.8 million project will include the design and construction of a new larger rail station, which will greatly improve station functionality and accessibility, reduce travel delays and enhance amenities for rail travelers. The new station includes two additional passenger tracks and a new two-sided high-level passenger platform accessed through a concourse from the new station. The site parking, bicycle and pedestrian access will also be improved along with enhancements to the landscaping, providing improved green space. The new facility will be built to allow for the addition of Greyhound and Trailways bus operations in a later phase of construction.
