Brian Barnes, PE, will be presenting ‘Engineering Challenges with Problem Soils’ at the New York State Council of Professional Geologists.

This presentation will address difficult soil conditions found across New York expansive soils, varved silts and clays, marine clays, karst features, and pyritic shales. Typical engineering solutions for these soils will be presented.

The conference will take place November 11th to 13th at the Holiday Inn, Saratoga Springs, NY, and consists of presentations and a panel discussion with members of the State Board for Engineering, Land Surveying, and Geology to answer questions from attendees.

Be sure to stop by ATL’s booth and say hello to Liv Bartik, who is both a board member and secretary for Hudson Mohawk Professional Geologists Association.
