Quality

OUR MOTTO IS THINK QUALITY

ATL is a member of the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL). ATL has achieved the ACIL “Seal of Excellence/Customer Quality Service” award every year since 2010. ATL conforms to American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM E329 “Specification for Agencies Involved in the Testing and/or Inspection of Materials Used in Construction”, and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, AASHTO R 18 “Establishing and Implementing a Quality System for Construction Materials Testing Laboratories”, in our accredited facilities. Our testing equipment is calibrated using methods traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

ATL has AASHTO accredited and AMRL/CCRL evaluated laboratories for soil, aggregate, fireproofing, masonry, and Portland cement concrete testing. We participate in the proficiency sampling program and conduct internal quality assurance audits. ATL has United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Materials Testing Center (MTC) validated laboratories for testing bituminous, soil, aggregate, masonry, and concrete. ATL encourages inspections or audits of our laboratory facilities.

Management and technical functions related to project deliverables operate under ATL’s Quality Systems Manual (QSM) of policies and procedures. ATL also maintains internal tracking systems to measure on-time performance in respect to reports and similar deliverables. Time deviations in reporting are analyzed and corrective measures implemented, as necessary.
