Atlantic Testing Laboratories (ATL) added a new Model 8G Pile Driving Analyzer® (PDA) to its Dynamic Pile Testing equipment inventory.  The PDA-8G is capable of wireless transmission of up to 8 channels of strain and acceleration data acquisition, allowing for safer and greater testing flexibility.

The PDA-8G assesses bearing capacity and structural integrity of driven piles, drilled shafts, continuous flight auger or cast-in-situ piles. Preliminary field results are further analyzed with the CAPWAP® software and are able to provide data easily correlated to static load tests increasing efficiency.

Pile Driving Monitoring helps establish driving criterion and contributes to safe and economical production pile installation. The PDA-8G calculates the capacity of driven piles at the time of testing, driving hammer performance, stresses, and indicators of pile integrity.

ATL has more than 13 years of experience performing Dynamic Pile Testing on thousands of deep piles. ATL staff have achieved the rank of Master on the Dynamic Measurement and or higher. Our experienced engineers are able to utilize this equipment following ASTM D4945- Standard Test Method for High-Strain Dynamic Testing of Deep Foundations guidelines to ensure compliance with project specifications and increase project proficiency.
