ATL is seeking certified and experienced Engineering Technician, Environmental Technician, and Special Inspector candidates for our ten offices located throughout New York State. Due to the number of essential and emergency projects we are currently working on and the limited availability of certification courses presently being offered, we have immediate openings for certified and experienced staff.
Duties for Engineering Technicians and Special Inspectors are in accordance with applicable codes including the Building Code of NYS and services include quality control/quality assurance monitoring, and field and laboratory sampling and testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, masonry, structural steel and Hot Mix Asphalt. Relevant experience and certification is required. Certifications can be ACI, ICC, PCI, CWI, NETTCP, NICET, NYCMA, NYSDTI and NYSCPTT. Strong organizational skills and basic mathematics abilities are a prerequisite. Training will be provided.
Duties for Environmental Technicians are in accordance with applicable codes including NYS Code Rule 56, OSHA 29CFR 1926 and 40CFR Part 763, HUD, EPA 40 CFR Parts 745, 750, and 761 and services include air and bulk sampling, project monitoring, and hazardous material surveys for asbestos, lead, mold, and PCB projects. Relevant experience and certification is required. Certifications can be NYSDOL and EPA. Strong organizational skills are required. Training will be provided.
