  Steve Moore, PE – Senior Engineer

  

February 11th at 1:30pm – Steve Moore will be presenting Introduction to Concrete Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Methods.

This presentation is an introduction to concrete NDT methods. Different NDT methods outlined in ACI 228.2, Report on Nondestructive Test Methods for Evaluation of Concrete Structures, will be presented and discussed, focusing on the more popular stress wave methods, such as impact echo, sonic/ultrasonic echo, impulse response, and ultrasonic pulse velocity.

  Brian Barnes – Senior Geotechnical Engineer

February 12th at 9:30am – Brian Barnes will be presenting Engineering Challenges with Problem New York Soils

This presentation addresses difficult soil conditions found across New York-expansive soils, varied silts and clays, marine clays, karst features, solutional features, and pyritic shales. Typical engineering solutions for these soils will be presented.
