ATL continues to adapt and provide testing services to the construction industry for new technologies, such as 3D printing of concrete structural elements. As part of the application of this new construction method, ATL’s Rochester office is providing laboratory testing to assist with the optimization of various concrete mixes and determination of physical properties.

The project consisted of removing over 250 cores and beams in accordance with ASTM C42 from various blocks of 3D printed concrete. Laboratory testing performed on these samples included compressive strength (ASTM C39), flexural strength (ASTM C78), static modulus of elasticity (ASTM C469), and splitting tensile strength (ASTM C496).

ATL is always looking to apply the knowledge and ingenuity that our experienced staff can bring to a project. Visit our website for more information about our services, www.atlantictesting.com, or contact us at info@atlantictesting.com.
