Atlantic Testing Laboratories is proud to announce that Dr. Christopher R. Kelson, Ph.D., P.G. has been added to ASTM Main Committee C09 (Concrete and Concrete Aggregates) and is a voting member of Subcommittee C09.65 (Petrography).
Concrete Slab Delamination
Delamination is a common type of concrete slab distress. Surficial delamination is when the finished surface of the concrete separates from the underlying slab. Although surficial delamination may not significantly affect the structural integrity of the slab, it increases the susceptibility of the concrete to environmental impacts, decreases durability, hampers functionality, and is not aesthetically pleasing.
ATL Receives Accreditation for ASTM C666 and ASTM C215
ATL has received AASHTO Laboratory accreditation for ASTM C666: Standard Test Method for Resistence of Concrete to Rapd Freezing and Thawing and ASTM C215: Standard Test Method for Fundamental Tranverse, Longitudinal, and Torsional Resonant Frequencies of Concrete Specimens.
