The mobile laboratory is equipped with five concrete curing tanks designed to provide the required curing conditions for the 4″ x 8″ concrete cylinders and the 2″ x 2″ grout cube samples.  It is staffed full-time by an Engineer and test results are input daily into the project web-based reporting system.

ATL is currently performing compressive strength testing on a variety of different concrete mixes, with some having ultimate compressive strength in excess of 10,000 psi.  In addition, we are conducting strength testing on various grout mixes, and performing sieve analysis and laboratory compaction testing on various soils and aggregate materials used in the construction of the new bridge.

ATL’s mobile laboratory system offers an innovative approach to providing on-site testing and inspection services, allowing for uninterrupted service and maximum laboratory access throughout the project’s duration.  The mobile laboratory units are pre-configured and outfitted with calibrated testing equipment to meet the unique demands of each project.  Mobile units can be made available for both short- and long-term assignments and have proven effective in a variety of applications.
