ATL Hires New Health and Safety Coordinator

ATL welcomes Chris McDermott to the position of Health and Safety Coordinator in the Corporate Safety group located in our Albany, NY office. Prior to joining ATL, Chris held roles in Environmental HS for more than 30 years working at diverse companies including consulting, manufacturing, mining and international locations. Most recently, Chris was the Corporate EHS Manager at Lake Region Medical with responsibility for 20 manufacturing facilities worldwide including NY. Over his career he was responsible for a significant reduction of OSHA recordable injuries, compliance issues and overall employee involvement.  The most notable achievement he led was the Covidien Argyle, NY plant achieving the highest H&S framework (management) score across all of Covidien.  Chris has a Masters degree in Environmental Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Chris lives in Wilton, NY and has a 16 year old son and 11 year old daughter and enjoys spending time with them and being outdoors hiking, biking and skiing.
