In conjunction with the Eastern NY Chapter of ACI, ATL recently celebrated a major milestone.  In the last 10 years, ATL has worked with the Chapter on 100 days (over 250 sessions) to certify over 1,000 certifications for concrete field and lab, aggregate and soil and special inspector. Scott McCasland, Vice President Quality, stated “The Chapter holds the same high standards that ATL does for educating, training and certifying people in testing and inspection, so it is a good fit for us”.  ATL typically runs 8 to 10 certification/training events a year and the Chapter, along with the Examiner Stephen McKeegan, PE, are very accommodating to provide these events during the short construction season in the Northeast.

A typical quote from one of the examinees heard often is that the examiner/proctor was tough, but fair, and this is what ATL expects. We would not want our staff testing and/or inspecting materials if they aren’t trained and certified properly. That is the base for performing work for our clients that matches our core value of “Think Quality”.

Client confidence in the technical competency of our deliverables is achieved through oversight and peer review by our experienced engineers, scientists, and other technical staff. This is possible due to the partnership we have with the Chapter, the examiner and all of the proctors. We thank them for all of the training events over the last 10 years.

From our inception 49 years ago, ATL has grown both geographically and in technical expertise. As a multi-disciplined, technical service provider, services are available to clients from initial project planning through construction.now
