June is recognized by the National Safety Council (NSC) as National Safety Month. This is an annual observance where participating individuals and organizations will make efforts to reduce the leading causes of unintentional injury and death at work, on the road, and in homes and communities. NSC assists in this task by providing companies with various resources and topics that they can focus on throughout the month, which are listed below!
- Week 1: June 1-11 – Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Week 2: June 12-18 – Workplace Impairment and Mental Health
- Week 3: June 19-25 – Injury Prevention
- Week 4: June 26-30 – Slips, Trips, and Falls
As a member of the NSC, ATL has been a yearly participant in National Safety Month, and we will be celebrating the month again in 2022! ATL will participate by sending out weekly email blasts discussing the weekly focus items provided by the National Safety Council, as well as providing employees with different posters, fact sheets, and toolbox talks about those same topics. ATL will also be participating in NSC’s Go Green for Safety campaign throughout the month!
On top of our weekly communications and participation in the Go Green for Safety Campaign, our safety team will also be attending various webinars throughout the month to garner additional knowledge and best-practices from other safety experts in the industry.
