drilling off coastAtlantic Testing recently completed geotechnical field investigations for the Rehoboth Beach Ocean Outfall Project off of the Delaware coast. ATL performed geotechnical field investigations consisting of soil borings and cone penetration tests (CPT), 75 feet below the surface of the ocean, resulting in 225 feet of sediment recovery.

The purpose of this study was to recover samples to measure in situ properties of the material types. The geotechnical outcome will be utilized to determine horizontal directional drilling to install 3000 linear feet for use of a future pipeline.

ATL is a full service geotechnical engineering firm and has over 48 years’ experience in geotechnical and water-based investigations. With a fleet of customized barges and vessel units ATL is able to meet various project requirements.
