ATL Introduces Impact Echo Testing and Expands GPR Services

Entrained Air Void System to Reduce Potential for Freeze-Thaw Damage to Concrete
Cyclic changes in temperature, which cause liquid water to alternatively freeze and thaw within saturated, hardened concrete, can damage the concrete when the water within capillary pores and microcracks in the cement paste freezes and turns to ice. Concrete paste with a high water/cement ratio can be especially susceptible to freeze-thaw damage, since it contains a correspondingly high volume of capillary pores within which liquid water can reside.
ATL Receives Accreditation for ASTM C 1260
ATL requested accreditation for ASTM C 1260: Standard Test Method for Potential Alkali Reactivity of Aggregates. Due to the current COVID-19 health precautions, CCRL performed the inspection through Microsoft teams video conferencing.
ATL LISTED AS ONE OF THE LARGEST INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS IN THE CAPITAL REGION
For over 25 years, ATL has provided paid summer internships and co-op programs. ATL welcomed 12 interns to our Clifton Park team and 38 companywide in 2020. The Albany Business Review recognized ATL as the eighth largest internship program in the capital region. This is the highest ranking and the third straight year ATL has made the list.
ATL Outfits Trailer for Fenestration Testing Services
A year ago, ATL added Fenestration Testing to our specialty services in response to client’s needs. We recently purchased a trailer for our fenestration equipment so that we can mobilize quickly and efficiently. The trailer was outfitted and is now ready to hit the road.
